School Readiness Program
Designed for children with learning difficulties, emotional difficulties, focus and concentration issues, behavioural issues and more
School readiness refers to a child's ability to learn in a group setting. While some children begin with individualized instruction, where they receive focused attention and support from an adult, this teaching model may not be sustainable.
Our School Readiness Program aims to bridge the gap between individualized instruction and group learning environments (ie: schools or childcare centers). By participating in this program, we can help your child adjust to the demands of school and equip them with essential life skills for their future.
Skills taught include:
Behavioural skills- Listening, waiting, following instructions, emotional self regulation
Adaptive skills- Awareness of personal space and belongings, school routines, personal hygiene, money skills, time skills
Social skills- communication and interaction with others, social cues, play skills
Academics- reading, writing numeracy, comprehension
